On Saturday, September 5, 2020, Mtshana Ncube died in London after suffering the ravages of cancer for many years. Mtshana provided inspiration and guidance to both his political movement, the Zimbabwe People’s African Union (ZAPU), as well as the many Canadians who got involved in international solidarity in support of the liberation movements of Southern Africa during the 1970s. Mtshana explains his approach to solidarity in his own words while David Beer and Ole Gjerstad tell their stories of his talent, personality and work in Canada.
